Now we are talking legalese here. What this means is in a particular case exclusive jurisdiction has been conferred on a district court. In Roberts v. Maine Department of Health and Human Services and in Roberts v. Nicholas (2007 WL 5145353-D.Md.2007) an appeal to the US Supreme Court after a 4th Federal Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the District Court of Maryland’s decision to dismiss a Father’s 42 U.S.C. sec. 1983 civil rights complaint. Maine still had continuing g exclusive jurisdiction over the child support matter.
